BEAUMONT, TX — The Golden Triangle’s largest advertising and digital marketing firm, Americom Marketing, has been awarded both gold and silver honors in the 26th Annual Communicator Awards from the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA).
Winners were announced for all categories of creative design, media, communication and digital production this summer. Americom Marketing received a Gold Award of Excellence for Branded Content for their design of Beaumont Housing Authority’s digital annual report. The infographic design features financial stats, details, notable objectives and achievements as part of the housing authority’s full report—complete with videos, articles, and interviews within the site.
The marketing agency is also the winner of a Silver Award of Distinction for Online Video.This honor comes for an Instructional Recipe video for longtime client, DJ’s Boudain. The playful, yet informative piece is a how-to video for cooking Jalapeno Poppers with DJ’s Boudain. As part of a full series of recipe videos, this piece was shot (and cooked) in Americom’s studio in Beaumont.
“These are tremendous awards that really have outstanding competition. To see our name and our work next to the likes of Microsoft, Bank of America, Dell, and Forbes Media—all in our winning categories—it’s astounding,” says Creative Director, Lance LaRue.
The honors come in a landmark year for the ad agency as Americom Marketing is celebrating its 20th year in business.
What began as a consulting and media-buying business in 2000 by Charlie Cooper (CEO), Americom has grown into a full-service agency with in-house production. Though the majority of the work is within Southeast Texas, Americom has produced videos, websites, and other marketing services for organizations across the country.
“All from a corner office on Calder (in Beaumont), we’re able to compete and produce on a national level,” adds LaRue. “We have a uniquely talented team, and awards such as these are testaments to our crew’s creative ability and digital acumen.”
