Americom is proud to take home honors of Gold, Silver, and Bronze from the 2015 AAF- Lake Charles district’s American Advertising Awards held this weekend at the Golden Nugget Casino in Louisiana. The wins are for the categories of Website Design and Non-Traditional Ad Campaign, and the client work includes TexJoy, Evergreen Tank Solutions, and the Jay Bruce Golf Benefit.
The website design for Evergreen Tank Solutions won a Gold Addy. This responsive site – www.EvergreenTank.com – is rare for the industrial field in that it is layered with many pages of detailed specs for heavy equipment sales and rentals as well as the ability to customize quotes. “Everyone worked hard on ETS’s website, including the client. Their clear vision from day one was to look and perform unlike any of their competitors, and respond to mobile devices. That’s exactly what we did,” says Americom’s Business Development Manager, Jake Stack. Credits on the web design go to: Jake Stack, Account Manager; Lance LaRue, Creative Director and Designer; James LaBove, Implementer and Developer; Chad Campbell, Art Director; Charlie Cooper, Research; Justin Romero, Copywriter; Carli Darnell, Copywriter.
The website for the charity golf tournament, www.JayBruceGolfBenefit.com, took home the Bronze. The responsive website is for marketing purposes, but also allows golfers as well as sponsors to register online, pay online, and donate online. The golf tournament is put on by Beaumont native and Cincinnati Reds All-Star, Jay Bruce, and his wife Hannah with the proceeds supporting the Arc of Greater Beaumont. Credits on the site go to: Lance LaRue, Creative Director and Designer; Donna Barlow, Implementer; Hannah Bruce, Copywriter; Jake Stack, Project Mgmt; Chad Campbell, Art Director and Consultant; Charlie Cooper, Consultant.
TexJoy’s “Political Seasoning” ad campaign won a Silver Addy, perhaps the most unique effort of the three. The ad campaign consisted of political and cooking-related puns with strategically placed signs supporting TexJoy steak seasonings (as if they were running for election). Messages of “Yes, We Cayenne!” and “My Vote is at Steak” were placed on street corners, polling locations, and around real candidates’ ads. “This campaign is one of the most rewarding concepts I’ve ever worked on. It just caught fire online and people had fun with it,” says Lance LaRue, Creative Director of Americom. LaRue says that TexJoy (client) was supportive of the idea, the community carried it further on social media, and it was simply a fun way to draw attention to the beloved brand. Cooper adds, “We’re honored that this won and that the creativity was recognized by the judges.” Credits on the campaign include: Lance LaRue, Creative Director and Copywriter; Charlie Cooper, Account Manager/Consultant; Chad Campbell, Art Director; Jake Stack, Consultant.
Americom congratulates its creative team and partners as well as the clients with whom they share the awards. Americom is thankful for the gracious hosts of the AAF-Lake Charles for inviting and welcoming the team to their district banquet at the superb Golden Nugget.
